Interbike 2009

Interbike 2009 was a fantastic success. Thanks to all who took the time to stop and learn about what we have to offer. We had a super green booth made from used rims tied together with used tubes. For product there was Blackblottoms Custom Clothing, Blipseats, The Rim Twister display, Velo Sports Hangers, The Change Box and more! All were in demand and the show was the best I have ever experienced. Yahooooooo! What a pleasant surprise. I did not have much in the way of expectations so I did not have as much help as I should have. Sorry if I did not give the best service, I was scattered and overwhelmed.

The above is the over all booth. We had fun making it but it was also a little worrisome for Jay the owner of BlackBottoms, since it was a design just in my head. I knew it would work out just fine. But I also knew there would be some experimentation as to how we would set things up. In reality it went really well and we had great feed back from show goers.

My corner of the space with the osumondo patent bending double sided slate wall system not yet shown on our web site even thought it has been in development for several years now. I can stand on the shelf shown here and did so periodically through the show. Hopping up and down during the day was good exercise! I think I lost weight in Vegas this year. I even fell asleep several times with my cloths on I was so tired.

Below is a "Rim Twister" display loaded with Velo Sport Hangers. The "Rim Twister" is made from recycling rims. My goal is to recycle. Well, not really recycling, we are reusing items in the their current state. This is a step forward in the material food chain.

What’s in my pocket is another picture series (currently only 1 picture) of just that, “What’s in my pocket”. As in at my feet series I take some delight in what I discover is in my pocket at the end of some days. Makes me feel like a kid.

Occasionally I will share other “What’s in my pocket” pictures.

Thanks

Chief Inspector Bernard Francois Du Bois

Some of the fantastic Golf Hanger gift boxes get damaged. We are offering these Golf Hangers at a discount and will post pictures and pricing on our “PROMOTIONS” page.

Our chief inspector is Bernard Francois Du Bois or BFD. He is also known as Mr. Nipples since he has grown up in a bicycle store. BFD carefully inspects all the incoming boxes. First there is the sniff test then the full body inside the box test. What goes on with this part is still a secret as BFD refuses to let us know what he does.

After Bernard OKs a shipment we humans get involved with our inspecting. Bernard continues to help out and keeps an eye on things.

The East Iron Curtain went up last week. EIC will help us organize the Quotable Velo Sport Hangers,
show off the Golf Hangers and hid some clutter. Theses 4 panels use our patent pending slat wall
system, can roll and rotate so many configurations can be created. The EIC can even be stacked up
and virtually disappear form view.

We still need to finish up some final touches to compleate
the details of the look we want. Once this is compleated
we will create a photo story board to demonstrate all
the wonderful options (code name "Tzoid") system provides.

We tensioned the slats and the desired uniformity is there
but are adding a cover and rippling stops to both sides.

Once I am satisfied we might even shoot a little Youtube choreographed Ballet demonstrating many of the
ways the East Iron Curtain can be shaped. Desplays, storage, and organizing of stuff at its best!

These are 3 new Blipseats that Opal Morrison, our sewing professional, delivered today. These pictured top are inside out. Opal said it is like wrestling monkeys to turn them rightside out. No need to go to the gym!

These are the same three wrestled outside out.
Nice to give these tubes and tires a second chance to prove their usefulness! Fill with whatever you want. We fill ours at the Urbane shop with packaging waste. Enjoy and please send us your feed back.
